The pair is rumored about to move in together to Brand's 3.5 million dollars mansion in The Summit estate in Los Angeles.

Russell Brand and Katy Perry apparently are taking their romance to the next level as they reportedly will move in together to his new house in the Hollywood Hills. Britain's Daily Star reports the England-born actor has just purchased a $3.5 million mansion in The Summit estate in Los Angeles.

The property, which boasts seven bedrooms, is in the same-gated area that pop star Britney Spears once lived in. Should report of Brand and Perry moving in together is true, the house will be the first shared home for the couple.

Since he began dating Katy Perry in September this year, Russell Brand has sparked speculation that he will leave his womanizing way of life behind. He fueled speculation that he would settle down with the singer after he sold his London bachelor pad last month. Besides, he was also photographed shopping for a diamond ring at a Cartier jewelery store earlier this month, which ignited engagement talk.

Brittany Murphy's Death Does Not Appear to be a Hoax - Gather.com

Posted: 20 Dec 2009 09:54 PM PST

The internet as the Boy Who Cried Wolf.

That's what this situation reminds me of, as I see that the number one search term on Google right now is "Brittany Murphy Death Hoax." I spend a fair amount of time looking at the Trends, and I can tell you that 9 out of 10 times you see an "X-celebrity is dead" trend appear, it's a hoax. Britney Spears, Will Smith, and others have all suffered mostly web-based rumors of their untimely demises. I'm predicting a much wider freak-out the first time a fake "barack obama dead" trend jumps to the top of the list.

If this was a hoax, it would be would have uncovered by now. Or one would think so, but given our experience with "Balloon Boy," we know easily the media can be totally fooled, if only for a few days.

But this is nothing like that. I think sane celebrities know that committing a hoax like this would anger the public and media, not endearing them to anyone. And there's no reason to believe Brittany Murphy would do something like this.

Brittany Murphy died of cardiac arrest early this morning. She was 32. TMZ reports:

A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ.
We're told Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

There's been a cloud of controversy surrounding Brittany's screenwriter husband Simon Monjack who the U.S. government has already attempted to deport to Britain. I'm not saying he did it, but I'm also not saying she didn't suddenly realize there's a gigantic British man in her vagina and then die of shock. Or drugs. -- Drugs and shock.

Rest in Peace, Brittany.

Commentary: Look who’s weighing in now about Tiger Woods - Middletown Journal

Posted: 20 Dec 2009 10:29 PM PST

By Marc Katz, Staff Writer 9:30 PM Sunday, December 20, 2009

Until last week, I found little funny about what was happening to Tiger Woods, other than the usual late-night (and even day-time) one-liners, many by people who did the same thing he did, only got away with it.

Then I channel-surfed and saw Larry King promoting notable moral pillars Donald Trump and Dennis Rodman about what they thought.

Hooked at last, just as I was during the trial of O.J. Simpson, who, come to think of it, would be another great interview on the subject.

Turns out Tiger's a "great guy," according to Trump and Rodman, who maybe shared some of his friends.

How about a new reality show on Woods, featuring Larry King himself, and Pete Rose, President Clinton, Kobe Bryant, Ron Artest, David Letterman, Mike Tyson and that Jon Gosselin (who I'm told is some kind of celebrity).

We can even go to the other side of the gender line to question Madonna, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and the all-time mate-mover, Elizabeth Taylor.

Even pretty-boy quarterback Tom Brady has two children by two different women, only one of whom he has married.

Sadly, I'd probably watch a show like that. It's got all the elements.

Problem is, if Woods comes back at his golfing best, a lot of this will go away. If he doesn't, he's talk-show fodder for the rest of his life.
