Do blondes have more fun? Britney and Lindsay don't seem to be ... - New York Daily News

Both Britney Spears, above l., and Lindsay Lohan, above r., may have hit the bleach bottle recently, but don't appear to be having more fun.

Who knew being blonde could be such a bummer?

Lindsay Lohan died her flaming red locks platinum blond last week for an upcoming role in Robert Rodriguez's "Machete," but she's been keeping the results mostly under wraps.

The 23-year-old has been spotted finding inventive ways - from fedoras to headscarves - to hide her new blonde 'do. She also tweeted her less-than-stellar feelings about her hair, "it's for a movie I miss it too… I begged (not to have it dyed). LOL."

The actress spent 11 hours at the Byron and Tracey Hair Salon in Beverly Hills last Thursday to achieve the new bleached-blonde mane, supplemented by hair extensions, the Daily Mail reports. A smiling Lohan showed off her new hair while shopping the next day, before covering it the past couple days.

She's not the only new blonde who may be unhappy with their peroxide-enhanced hue.

Singer Britney Spears headed out on the town this past weekend with noticeably lighter locks and a noticeable scowl on her face.

Is something in the bleach bottle bringing these tow-headed starlets down?

Tell us: Do you like their lighter hairdos?

Is blonder better?

What do you think of these stars bleached-blond looks?
