Los Angeles, CA, United States (CNS) - It's not Lady Gaga-fashion disaster, it's just plain disaster. Britney Spears failed to make a grand entrance at the Grammy Awards on Sunday when she showed up with a frumpy black sheer dress.

Although Lady Gaga wore the whole solar system in one of her outfits, it turned heads for being what it was: a head turner.

But Spears, who lost out to Lady Gaga for the Best Dance Recording award, was wearing a very unflattering sheer lace Dolce & Gabbana dress over a black bodysuit. Her dark curls were fabulous, but her frock was something you'd want to forget forever.

On the bright side, it didn't look too bad when she was photographed sitting down. Maybe it was her smile that brightened the bleak ensemble.

It wasn't the first time Spears committed a red carpet crime by wearing sheer lace. She infamously donned a see-through lace dress to the 2001 Video Music Awards.
