Britney Spears has reportedly split from her boyfriend.

The 'Toxic' singer is said to be "distraught" after learning Jason Trawick had been flirting with two women at Los Angeles' bar Roger Room and is now refusing to take his calls.

Ella Davis, a reveller at the bar, told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Jason left the bar with two bottles of water - and a stunning blonde who looked like Britney.

"He had his arms around her and they looked very much like they were together for the night."

Friends of Jason - who has proposed to Britney a number of times - have defended him, insisting his behaviour is out of character.

A source added: "Jason's a great guy and super loyal. This behaviour is really out of character. But Los Angeles is a small town and word soon got back to Britney he'd had a wild one.

"When she heard he'd been caught cosying up two girls in The Roger Room, it was the last straw. Jason's really not like this and quickly tried to calm Britney down and rectify the situation. He explained the girls were just friends and there was nothing in it but they still had a massive row.

"Everyone is assuming it's over - for the time being anyway."

After the argument Britney called her mother who has flown in from Louisiana to comfort her.

Britney - who has two sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline - and agent Jason started dating last March. They split briefly in August, but soon reconciled. (c) BANG

CARRIE UNDERWOOD is to follow in BRITNEY SPEARS' footsteps by making her first acting appearance on U.S. sitcom HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER.

Like Spears before her, she'll play a girl who falls for series regular Josh Radnor's character Ted.

Her episode will air in March (10).

Spears played a bubbly secretary who had a crush on Ted in two 2008 episodes.

Britney Spears Works It Out While Working Out - Dose.ca

Remember when a Britney Spears story involved tears, head-shaving and/or a trip to the psych ward? These days, our gal Brit-Brit is doing so well, the worst the tabloids can say about her is that she works out in full makeup. (Oh, the horror!)

The New York Post's Page Six reports that Spears was spotted sporting "unbecoming jet-black hair," lipstick and mascara while hitting the gym with her mother at the Mondrian Hotel in Hollywood. A witness tells the paper that the singer worked up such a sweat, "she looked like Heath Ledger as the Joker" -- though the spy graciously added, "but she has a great butt."

According to Page Six, celebrity publicists Adam Weiss and Todd Shapiro told her, "you're an inspiration" -- to which she scoffed, "yeah, right!"

If you ask us, this item falls firmly under the "good news" column. She's a) working out, b) spending time with her family, and c) no longer believing the yes men around her. 2010 just might be Spears' comeback year after all!

U2 Tops 2009 Tour List Over Boss, Elton, Britney - BruDirect

That little band from Dublin posted another stellar year of ticket sales, with U2's box-office take totaling $123 million, according to the concert-sales gurus at Pollstar.

Taking the top spot wasn't even much of a competion, with Bono and the boys besting the Boss by around $30 million. Rounding out the top 10 after Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band were Elton John/Billy Joel, Britney Spears, AC/DC, Kenny Chesney, Jonas Brothers, Dave Matthews Band, Fleetwood Mac & Metallica. And despite the down economy, grosses for 2009 were reportedly up over the previous year. Rock on.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - U2 may have suffered disappointing sales for their new album, but the Irish rockers were easily the most popular draw on the North American concert circuit in 2009, according to data issued on Wednesday.

The band sold $123 million worth of tickets to its stadium tour, while Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band came in second with $94.5 million, said trade publication Pollstar.

Among all-time tours, the U2 trek ranks at No. 5, Pollstar said. The Rolling Stones hold the record with $162 million from their 2005 outing. U2's 2005 tour is No. 3 on the all-time list with $138.9 million.

Pollstar editor Gary Bongiovanni said the overall concert business bucked the recession, mirroring a similar phenomenon at movie theaters. He said most people go to only one or two shows a year, and are willing to pay a premium for good seats.

U2 hit the road to promote its latest album, "No Line on the Horizon," which failed to generate any hit singles and sold a relatively modest 1.06 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Pollstar said the band played to 1.3 million people at 20 shows on the North American leg of its world tour, and charged an average of $93.77. The average price on the band's 2003 tour, when it played 78 shows, was actually higher at $97.

Piano men Elton John and Billy Joel's latest co-headlining stint came in at No. 3 in 2009 with $88 million, followed by rehabbed pop princess Britney Spears at No. 4 with $82.5 million, and hard-rockers AC/DC at No. 5 with $77.9 million.

Country star Kenny Chesney made the top 10 for the sixth consecutive year, landing at No. 6 in 2009 with $71.1 million.

As in years past, veteran rockers dominated the rankings, in part because they are able to charge more than developing acts. But the fresh-faced Jonas Brothers made No. 7 after selling $69.8 million in tickets to their young fans.

Fellow Disney star Miley Cyrus was No. 13 with $45 million, and country-pop starlet Taylor Swift was No. 35 with $25.5 million. Bongiovanni said he expected Swift to make the top 10 next year on the heels of a three-month North American tour that kicks off on March 4.

The top 10 was rounded out by the Dave Matthews Band at No. 8 with $56.9 million, Fleetwood Mac at No. 9 with $54.5 million, and Metallica at No. 10 with $53.4 million.
