| Britney Spears' ex Ghalib jailed - Independent Posted: 23 Nov 2009 05:51 AM PST Britney Spears' ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib has been sent to jail for 45 days for leaving the scene of an accident. A spokeswoman for Los Angeles' District Attorney said Ghalib was taken into custody immediately after being sentenced on Friday. The 37-year-old photographer pleaded no contest last month to leaving the scene of an accident that injured a man who was trying to serve him with a restraining order. The order was sought by Britney's father and was eventually granted. Ghalib also faces a civil case from the person who attempted to serve the order. Ghalib was also ordered to serve three years of formal probation and perform 45 days of roadside cleanup duty, the spokesperson said. | Britney Spears wows crowd at Brisbane Entertainment Centre - News.com.au Posted: 23 Nov 2009 02:23 AM PST THEY all knew the miming would be shameless. But with a hefty roar of welcome from Brisbane fans Sunday night, the message from almost 10,000 fans to starlet Britney Spears was clear - they didn't mind. If the "leave Britney alone'' and "save Britney" T-shirts were any indication, the Spears army was poised to defend their lip-synching heroine on the back of successive bad reviews. Lip-synching aside (which was never a surprise), Spears doesn't move as well as she used to. Pictures: Comeback queen Britney If you remember the blonde teen who busted moves in Hit Me Baby One More Time, you would have been sorely disappointed by the woman who strutted more than anything else and was carried (literally, at times) by her breath-taking back up cast. But the fact is this - as far as comebacks go, the Spears Circus is spectacular. Far from the images of the popstar-turned-trainwreck that have been beamed around the world in recent years, tonight Spears appeared on stage as a glowing teen idol. Hoisted high above the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in the arm of an umbrella, she was the ringmaster - it was hard to believe this was the same woman who has been the protagonist of countless scandals, ranging from head shaving to carrying her baby unrestrained on her lap in the car. Her sculpted body carries off the skimpy costumes she flaunts, and her wide smile and bright blonde hair scream glossy pop star perfection. There is no denying she has a set list that's defined teen pop over the past decade. Brisbane fans have waited a long while for this three-ringed circus - she doesn't sing and she doesn't move like the best of them, but as far as her glitter-clad army was concerned, Britney was back. | Britney's 'happy family break' with Jason Trawick and kids - Smash Hits.com Posted: 15 Nov 2009 10:06 PM PST London, Nov 16 (ANI): Britney Spears has been spotted enjoying a break with alleged boyfriend Jason Trawick and her two sons in Sydney, Australia. Britney - facing criticism Down Under for miming at her concerts - took to the water with the trio before returning to the stage on Monday for four gigs in Sydney. Jason has clearly bonded with Sean Preston and Jayden James, Britney's sons with Kevin Federline. Jason was doting on the lads throughout their day out. They looked every bit the happy family as they ate al fresco, the Sun quoted an onlooker as saying.Jason was doting on the boys, playing Superman and hide and seek with them. They loved taking it turns being spun in the air, as Britney looked on beaming, the onlooker added. A spokesperson for K-Fed said: He'll be arriving in Brisbane next week. It usually works out that Britney's dad Jamie is her carer and Kevin is the children's carer. (ANI) This content has passed through fivefilters.org. |
